Since its the holiday season you can also make the perfect Xmas Gift for a loved one! (See what we have made using the same moulds - https://www.weestudyo.com/) Jesmonite materials are water based making them kinder to the environment. It is solvent-free and has no VOC’s, making it a more sustainable alternative to concrete. But most importantly you can use it to make some really fun and colourful designs for your home! During this creative workshop you will learn about Jesmonite and make your own bespoke Jesmonite products to take home! You’ll be shown how to mix and cast the material into silicone moulds, using a range of techniques including Terrazzo, Marbling, Two Tone, Acrylic Paint. As you experiment and play with these techniques you will create a series of unique products that reflect your own creative expression. Your products will need to dry and cure so while this is happening I will be on hand to talk to you individually, offering advice or maybe you just want a chat to learn more about the science behind making objects. The next part of the workshop involves releasing your products from their silicone moulds, so we can begin sanding. Once sanded, you will seal your products before taking them back to their new home! This workshop is around 3 hours long. This will give you enough time to make a range of Jesmonite products. The small pots can be used as a plant pot for a small succulent, tealight holder or to hold pencils. The pot perfectly fits a tealight candle so each participant will receive a tealight candle to take home with them free of charge. Participants who choose to make candle holders will also receive a candle free of charge too. The trinkets are great for storing jewellery, bits and bobs or the coasters.
